Yin Yoga Online (Mixed Levels) – 12PM Central/1PM Eastern
Classes are 75 minutes.
Sarah Powers, the founder of Yin Yoga, developed an integrated approach to yoga that combines the principles of Chinese medicine, Buddhist philosophy, and Western anatomy. A key feature of Yin Yoga is the emphasis on Five Element Theory and the energy meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Yin is a meditative approach to yoga that emphasizes long-held, passive poses that target the deep connective tissues of the body. It is taught through a lens of self-compassion and personal exploration, urging practitioners to slow down, cultivate presence, listen to their bodies and adjust postures to meet their individual needs.
